You nailed it Markus and thank you!!!
funny, I have 4 of those Autotypenbuchs from the 1930's and I am so lazy using the Internet I forgot to look at them.

And thanks for that. Most probably it really is Citroen, although the wheels aren't typical for C4 and they confused me. Could be C6 SWB. I've never been good in those French trucks recognition
Thanks again anyway, I'll move it to the virtual Citroen garage.
Cheers!

No doubt it is Mack NR, but why you've nailed the series so categorically?
I wonder why it is exactly NR15, in case the "pneumonia" cab was introduced from NR8 on, and the rear dual wheels from NR14 on. Furthermore the rear part of the truck isn't visible on the picture? AFAIK there weren't other external differencies between the 8/14/20 series.
I'm just curious why you're so sure it is series 15. Because it could be anything from NR8 to late NR20, IMHO.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi ilian:
You are basically correct. I should have just typed in "Mack NR" and left it at that.
I merely copied what Oliver had on his site and didn't think much about whether it was an "8" or higher.

Hi Bill,
No problems, nobody's perfect.
However, my general advise is: stay away from Mr. Oliver's site. It is full of glaring errors, that's it. Sorry.
Cheers!

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Bill & ilfil many thanks!
There is an interesting detail on this truck- note a horse! Just out of curiosity where this horse came from? Did comrade sergeant put this horse by himself or this horse came with a truck amd was a sort of compamy emblem?
Best regards,
Alexander

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Sasha,
I don't think this horse came from a vehicle, any vehicle, even a Ferrari It isn't black at least
Looks like a toy or ceramic figure. However, on those military Macks there wasn't anything on the radiator cap, even the legendary bulldog was banned (to conform the Army's Judge Advocate General order from 1941 which ruled deleting of all manufacturers' names and embelms from Army contract vehicles). So this one-off Mack has more sexy look definitely.
BTW, is there any chance this is postwar picture?
Cheers!
