Re: Photothread: Allied Vehicles in German Service
Max,
I also forgot to mention the very acute angle of the steering linkage. It has a much sharper angle than on the CD, because of the advanced position of the driver, and therefore the steering wheel. Not very well explained I am afraid, but I think you will understand the point.
Cheers,
Kerry.

Thanks, Kerry. You make a persuasive argument. I'll file it as a CDF.
Cheers,

Max,
Talking about those old Morris lorries, I also think yours isn't CD but short-nosed CDF.
The firm evidence is very well visible on your picture:
HTH
Cheers!

Proof positive. Thank you, ilfil. I now notice what appears to be the steering shaft and u-joint on the Russian picture, so I believe Kerry is correct on that one as well.

Hi,
here a pic of a captured Crosley IGL Normal Control 3-ton 6x4 with a special body (maybe it is a photographic body) now used by the Luftwaffe (source of the pic: an expired ebay auction).
Regards
Bert

Yes, Sturm.
Probably ex-Dutch according to the registration plate I think.

Crossley IGL8 plus crane in Luftwaffe service. Note the tracks around the rear wheels.

Two Shermans from exp. eBay.de, auction N:os embedded in pic names.
The lower a possible; Numbering looks somewhat Teutonic. Odd frames on the side, unlike Wurfrahmen 40 but maybe something launcher related.
