Sorry, Luftflotte, but I cannot agree with this 8O I wonder from where this info is? There are more than enough evidences the louvers were both sides .

Thank you very much gentlemen,
From the evidence both cars appear to be the 8 HP variety and will be filed as such.
Cheers,
Max

A pleasure Max,
Just to clarify, the 3 louvres are on the 10hp Tilly, the 2 on the 8hp roadster. Both 8 and 10hp models were also used by the military in the unaltered civilian saloon format, with horizontal ventilation. The Tilly is an adaptation of the civilian 10hp saloon, but uses the 3 vertical louvres. To illustrate the horizontal style of ventilation here is an uncommonly seen 8hp saloon in RAD use,
Kerry.

I think it is a Belgian plate. https://blog.europlate.org.uk/category/ ... ic/page/2/
Actually, the ebay seller's caption confirms this was taken in Belgium.

The platform of the truck was either metal (2G8T) or wooden (G8T). G8T was supplied with tow hooks and protection cramps on headlights.

Hi Luftflotte,
I'd recommend you not to use this place for reference for it is full of wrong information. In fact it is straight the opposite of what is stated there. Too strange, considering the site is Russian and many such Fords were delivered in the USSR under Lend-Lease agreement, and there is a manual in Russian on those trucks in which the differenes between the two models of 1942 and 1943 are clearly described in Russian.
On the picture of Uncle above (I have a bigger copy) it is well visible the headlight has no guard bracket. With the truck shot that crowded and from this point, on this picture the headlight is the only sure recognition point. In general there were many well visible differences between G8T and 2G8T if you know what to look for :D
HTH
Cheers!

Hello ilfil! Can you elaborate? I am quite confused on the differences.

This image of the 'Ford Model 2G8T' has indicators on the fenders and no headlight protection. Additionally, there are no tow hooks above the bumper.

The image in question is from the documentary Stalingrad - Never Shown Recording. No headlight protection and seemingly, no indicators.
