Hi Tad, hi Bill,
to the truck in the first pic. I was looking for this truck in the book of Vaudevillier and it´s possible that I can ID the firm, but not the type. Bill, You are right, it must be a French truck. I think it could be a Panhard. I`ll post two pics of Panhard trucks out of Vaudevilliers book. The first two trucks are 5 tonner of Panhard, the third truck is a 3 1/2 ton truck with a special filter in the front of the hood for the special purpose of driving in the desert (Sahara). The 5 tonner got the specification Panhard K 91, the 3 1/2 tonner hasn´t, sorry.
I hope I could help You to ID the truck now.
Regards
Bert

Thank you Bert:
I believe you have successfully solved this one
You did not mention it, but the photo Panhard 1 is showing a French Air Force vehicle.
I really have to get a copy of that book Sous L Uniforme. I have tried for years without success. Maybe I will have to fly to France and haunt the flea markets or something.
In the last months, I have gotten the Finnish equivelant and should receive next week the Swiss versions of a comprehensive vehicle history and the one I am missing is the French one.
Thanks again.
Bill
