Re: Vehicles with unit markings
Does anyone recognise the unit marking on the door of this Zugkraftwagen?
It has been irritating me as I keep seeing it in photographs offered on eBay and it was prevalent in the Nuts & Bolts No.20 "Leichter Zugkraftwagen 3t" but I have not been able to find any trace of it in my books .

This is clearly the Haglerune from 6.SS Nord. Im not sure what the other symble means. I was informed by the person I bought the photo from that the person in the back seat is a general. The back of the photo is dated 1941, Thats all I know about the photo. (from my personal collection) Just thought I would share

I don't think it is part of a Holzgasconfiguration. That normally doesn't have a gascontainer + the tubing is quite small. Maybe Stadtgas??TadPortly wrote:Sdkfz 10 with what looks like a Holzgas conversion sporting 116 Pz Div insignia

Re: Vehicles with unit markings
Hi,
Ref the SdKfz 10, the markings are the 24th Pz Div and the large cylinder is for the air brakes that some, but not all, of these vehicles were fitted with.
cheers spannermann

203 Panzer Regiment?
This photo is from a recent E-bay series described as belonging to 203.PanzerRegiment by the seller. The emblem on the Command Penant seems familiar but I have been unable to track it down.

Does anyone recognise it and/or can anyone provide more information on the unit it belongs to?
Many thanks,
Chris Brown.

Re: Vehicles with unit markings
I have posted this on another part of the site but felt that it belonged in this section. From what I have been told, it is a KW with a 3rd SS panzer division marking. I zoomed in on this car, but there were other trucks in the photo as well.

Re: Vehicles with unit markings
Hi all,
Photo I think is in Namur, Belgium, 1940.
On Heer vehicle curbside: K = Panzergruppe 1? Triangle on left fender = 14 armee?
On Luftwaffe vehicle: symbol on left fender = gebirgsfahrkolonne? gebirgskraftwagenkolonne?
Luftwaffe vehicle = Henschel?
Heer truck = ?
Motorcycle = ?
I am trying to gibe my guesses at markings with May-June 1940 OOB. Shouldn't it be the 3 and 4 PzDiv going through Namur?
Thanks,
Garlock

Re: Vehicles with unit markings
Hi garlick,
I´m no specialist in markings, I can only answer to Your question according to the trucks.
The Luftwaffe truck is a Krupp L 3 H 163 and
the Heer truck is an Opel Blitz 1,5 t type 2,5 - 32
Regards
Bert
