NARA T78 Rolls

#1

Post by Paidoskixos » 27 Feb 2014, 14:09

Hi guys,

does anyone of you own the following NARA rols from the T78 Wehrmacht fund?

758, 853, 870, 871, 872 and 873. They relate primarily to new weapon systems and ordnance.

I might well be interested in purchasing them.

If no one has contacted you yet, contact Kirill att MapArchiv.ru. I think he has copies of T78 R870 - R873. He sells rolls but I have dealt with him on a number of occasion. If he has the rolls it takes about 3 days to get them, if he has to order them they take anywhere from 3 - 16 weeks to get them. His prices are cheaper than NARA. I am not sure of the exact price but somewhere around $100 if he has the roll and a little more is he doesn't. There is another Digital History Archive cheaper prices but smaller selection. Digital History Archive even does research at for you at NARA, I think. It can be a cheaper offer if you only want part of a roll.

Now if there was a similiar service for TsAMO :(

There are a number of people that do trade rolls (I didn't see any of your rolls on their lists) but it is seldom you find just the rolls you want - everyone has different interests. On the bright side for every roll you buy, with a little luck you can trade others lessening costs

Many thanks for your replies. It is astonishing how pricy it is to order copies from BaMa, especially those large format documents. For about seven of these they asked me for almost 1000€. And they don`t allow taking pictures. Not what I would call a user-friendly archive.

Hi,

I really need the NARA T-78 853 and 870 files. The first relates mostly to road construction in Europe and a modular bridge, the Bässler brücke. The 870 has a lot of tables with brief descriptions of materiel under development. Does someone with the same interests have these?
