Hello,
does anyone own the following document or has read the leaves?

Canadian Scottish Regiment. The Capture of Cussy. Memo of interview with Lt.-Col. F.N. Cabeldu, 13 July 1944. Photocopy, 2 leaves.

I´m looking for some information according the Cussy fights.

Thanks in advance,

andernach

Hello Henryk,
thanks for your reply and the links. I have checked this documents before and the interview with LtCol Cabeldu is mentioned again.

As source for the following statement was given the interview with Lt.-Col. F.N. Cabeldu, too: In Cussy the battalion buried more than one German officer who had fought among his troops "to the bitter end".
In Cussy the C.O. of the 1./SS-FlakAbt 12, Hstuf. Karl Ritzel, was MIA. I have talked to an eyewitness who saw how Ritzel died. After the war they tried to find his corpse by digging out old positions. They really found some bones, but nothing to identify the remains.
Maybe the original source (interview with F.N. Cabeldu) told us something more, where they have buried the dead german officers?

Best wishes,

andernach
