hi, Max,

I'm sorry, to me, the question seemed so easy, but there's another no for Harlinghausen.

Well, there was an American comedian who used to say in an unidentifiable accent "For you easy, for me difficult."
But I only have 2 strikes so far. I'm not out yet.
Cheers,
Max

hi, Max,

it's in my previous mail : "he led I/KG 26 in the Arctic and KG 26 in the Med" (try the German wikipedia entry of KG 26)

Thanks for the tip, pb but that's the source I've been using. However looking again at your clue Werner Klümper was both Geschwaderkommodore and also led Group I but I have no further info on him. Was that strike three?
Cheers,
Max

Thank you, pb.

Actually I'm glad I didn't id Klümper first off because then I wouldn't have learned about Thomsen or Harlinghausen. That's why I'm here. To learn-and to have fun! :D

Switching from the biographical to the mechanical side of things my new question is:
What are the strange looking appendages mounted on the nose of this aircraft?

OMG, 4 days and 2 hints, and still no answer, not even a guess? Simple na lang. Its a Bü 181 (so called "Panzerfaust Bücker"), converted as a tank buster by attaching 4 Panzerfaust 100 to the wings, arnd April 1945. The devise seen on the photo is the "aiming system" for the Panzerfaust. Used in Bavaria. This Bücker is the one, that was flown to Switzerland on 18th April 1945, were it later underwent evaluation. This photo is from the report done by swiss Technischer Dienst C-2. It shows Bücker Bü 181 C-2, WNr. 502 167, yellow 10 of 3. PzJgdSt.

Thanks, pare!
This is the civil interior of a dual engined plane, that in the war became one the "standards" of the Luftwaffe. By standard, I mean, it was produced in big numbers, in a wide range of variants and served in a variety of roles or purposes.
Which plane (general type) do I mean?

Maraming salamat, Christian.

What are the names of this famous Ritterkreuzträger and his pet lion shown here in their Bf 109?
