Re: Id. german aircraft
I have to correct myself. This is He 162 A-2, WNr.120077, Red 1of II./JG 1, FE/ T2-0489.
This must then be 1947 at University of Kansas in Lawrence, USA.
Already in 1948 it was sold to a collector in Kansas City. This plane is now at the Planes of Fame Museum, Chino, CA.

Re: Id. german aircraft
I think this is the right thread for what I need help with.
Could anyone ID this late-war Bf 109 model below? Namely the subtype and unit?
I compiled the image from this video (starting at 00:26): https://youtu.be/9_V7mY2ubVw?t=26s
With some brief description of general circumstances of where the two aircraft in the footage were found in narration here: https://youtu.be/vA94OqR51Gw
There is no technical information on it in either of the two videos. I can't ID it other than assume it's either a G-10, G-14 or K-4 (I have doubts about the latter judging from the non-retractable tailwheel though).

Re: Id. german aircraft
Hello,
This is a K-4 version. All K-4 have the radio hatch in the upper left corner of the german cross. All the other G version have the hatch in the lower right corner of the german cross. K-4 have the tailwheel retractable but some unit have the tailwheel fixed with the doors closed and the underwing wheel cover removed.
Best regards.
Lionfish.
