That is a Ju 86P 1!

Reason: Ju 86 is correct - NOT and never "JU 86"

Ju 86 E,K,Z or another version with gasoline engines - not a P as this had Jumo Diesel engines.

Hi Gents,

This has me confused. An SM82 in Luftwaffe markings in North Africa, prior to the Italian surrender ?

Cheers, Dave

Hi Dave,

According to https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Savoia-Marchetti_SM.82 , RLM bought three used SM.82s and 10 nearing completion in early October 1941. 14 examples from a repeat order of 100 were delivered April to September 1943.

Hi Markus, a pretty rare beast in Luftwaffe livery in 41-42 then. Thanks. Dave

I think it's an He 111B-2.
Cockpit is hidden by the wing.
Bf 109C or D ??
I believe it's Bf 109 D-1.
Metallic Hamilton propeller is visible.

Hi all,

What model is this Fi 156 ? C-2?

Note also the Verbandskennzeichen changed from +YK to +XK. Your thoughts ?

Best regards, Dave

Thanks von thoma,

I read on another forum:

5F+XK: Fi 156 C of 2.(H)/Aufkl.Gr. 14 in North Africa 1941-42.
5F+YK: Fi 156 C-3/trop of 2.(H)/Aufkl.Gr. 14 in North Africa 1941-42.
5F+ZK: Fi 156 C of 2.(H)/Aufkl.Gr. 14 in North Africa 1941-42.

But seeing how the operational code changed has changed from +YK to +XK, I'm confused about whether it's a C-2 or C 3/Trop.

Cheers, Dave

I think really there hasn't been any change.
