from Galdecal resin conversion set R72-02:
As part of their modernisation plane 18 Blenheim Mk.I bombers sufficient for equipping 2 squadrons were ordered by the Finnish Ministry of defence in October 1936 under contract No.500/36 with delivery set for mid 1938.
These aircraft, known as series I (I-Sarja) in Finnish service were allocated serial Nos. BL-104 to BL-121 inclusive and differed from standadrd RAF MK.Is in having bomb bay doors removed and instead fitted with four open shallow troughs under the fuselage and two to each wing centre section bomb cell. The main fuselage bomb bay extended 15in. further forward than on RAF Mk.Is.
