Aalb-West and Grove were indeed the most heavily fortified airfields built by the Germans anywhere. But also on many airfields in France and Norway key installations were in hardened facilities.

Hi Jackman, sorry for late reply...

No I went there alone, I live nearby. The water was about 20 cm (Anders had his wind-driven pump going) so you could walk - carefully - in regular rubber boots.
