H. Ehler Rudder markings/camo

Hello all...
Am having a repo 109 rudder made from Axis War Prize. Am going with Henrich Ehler and his aircraft around the late spring 1943.

Not many pictures of the actual rudder. The one I have is grainy and looks like it's got a lite camo over a solid color.
Question is.. is it light blue or grey for the base color?
Going with 78 kill markings too.
