What unit is this Luftwaffe guy from? taken prisoner in Poland 1939, looks to me blank ss collar tabs?

Shoulder tab of a Major?!
Insignia on collar tab were possibly torn off, we just see a background color.
One of the photos taken by Eric Calcraft or Julien Bryan in Warsaw. Corbis Images have date: 21st of September 1939.
Building had been identified as 72 Nowolipie Street. In 1942 part of the Ghetto and hosted Azazel theatre.
Name of a Luftwaffe Major taken prisoner near Warsaw shouldn't be difficult to find?
