Did the Kommandogerät 36 remain in service till the end of WWII or was it gradually replaced by the Kommandogerät 40? Which of the two was mainly employed in the Mediterranean Theatre?
Thank You

The Handbook on German Military Forces says the '40 had largely replaced the earlier model by 1945.
I do not have information on its distribution.

There were only 252 Kdo Ger 36 in service in 1944, compared to some 2200 Kdo Ger 40.
