Machine Gun in Cockpit

Does anybody know the name of the Engineer that came with idea of installing machine gun that shooting trough propeller ?
This ingenuity of speed of propeller and bullet sequence is fascinating, isn'lt ? Please elaborate..

Fokker introduced it, basing on a patent of Franz Schneider.

There was no synchronization, simply deflectors at the Morane-Saulniers. Fokker investigated that, but this was impossible to copy with the german standard ammunition.
