Hi,

Can someone please tell me what duties a person would perform with the rank of Luftwaffe Generalintendant ?

The british(!) equivalent is "General commissariat commander (RAF)", so
such a person would be responsible for the coordination of produktion and transport of materiel(planes, weapons etc.) needed by the Luftwaffe.

Hallo Darren,

Generalintendant = Generalmajor (Beamter)
Generalstabsintendant = Generalleutnant (Beamter)
Generaloberstabsintendant = General (Beamter)

Look at the pic of later Generalstabsintendant Dr. iur. Walter Berndt
(here in the uniform of a Oberstintendant) the later Luftflotten-Intendant 4.
The other pic shows him in Norway (second from left) with medical-officers.

The coloured pic shows the collar-patch of a "Generalstabsintendant der Luftwaffe" (with only one star = Generalintendant).
