Thank you. Another easy question I have. The British had their Meteor, and the Germans their Me-262, but the Americans also had a jet aircraft in development by the end of WWII. What was the aircraft's name?

Actually, it is not so easy as it depends of what is considered "in development". The US has a number of jet or mixed propulsión aircraft in different stages of design/production or even in service by the end of WWII. Given the examples of the Me-262 and Meteor that you gave, I will say Lockheed the P-80 Shooting Star.

I would say it's the Bell P-59 Airacomet, Americas first jet fighter, never used in combat action.

Correct! I keep forgetting about the preference for questions about Axis aircraft :( I think the last 3 questions I've made were about Allied aircraft... Over to you.

It's not that there is a preference for questions about Axis aircraft; it is that this is the AHF Axis aircraft quiz thread. For Allied aircraft, there is an AHF Allied & Neutral Air Forces quiz.

So it's a Focke-Wulf as Attrition said, but which type? It's not one of the common FWs. Anyone to make the next guess?

Quite easy one. What were the first German nighfighters in WW2?
