You are searching for informations concerning Generalmajor Karl Lorenz, 395. oakleaves, * 24.01.04 Hanau, + 03.10.61 Mehlem, Division "Großdeutschland" ??
Is this correct ?? Do you know the "Search"-facility in the top of each page of the forum ??

Yes, of course! But is there a Biography written about him? Or a specific book on GD Divisin that have good information on him?

After the war Karl Lorenz was im Führungsstab des Technischen Hilfswerks (THW), he was Referent für Schwimmbrückenbau (bis zum Tode)
He was in the Staff of the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief as the head of the department for pontoon systems since 1957 until his death

The scar on his face must be from his 1942 wounding?

Lorenz and the remnants of GD arrive in Schleswig-Holstein,April 1945.Only 800 men escaped from Pillau.

He is also shown with his scar below (I believe the photo is late-war).....in `42, how did he get wounded and what did the wounds consist of?

that seems to be a so called "Schmiss" from a "Mensur"
