Im looking for infos at the end of war (trial, prision, if happened) of these Officers :

Richard Ruoff
Walter Weiß
Erhard Raus
Rudolf Schmidt
Wilhelm Adam
Wilhem Heye

Nach Kriegsende in der Landwirtschaft nahe Göttingen.
00.00.1947 er besuchte Weimar, um in seiner früheren Wohnung Inventar zu sichern. Er wurde erkannt, verhaftet, nach Russland deportiert und zu einer längeren Haftstrafe verurteilt. 30.09.1955 gesundheitlich schwer angeschlagen zurück aus Gefangenschaft zu seiner Familie nach Krefeld

After the war first of all he worked in the agriculture in the Göttingen area.
1947 visiting Weimar to secure inventory in his former habitation . Being recognized he was arrested by the Russians, deported to the UdSSR and condemned to longer imprisonment.
1955 he returned being very sickly to his family in Krefeld

According to 'Die Ritterkreuzträger der Wehrmacht' Richard Ruoff was displaced to leader reserve June 1943 and not reassigned anymore, thus avoiding captivity.

In fact, Schmidt was arrested by the Soviets on 16 December 1947 in or near Nordheim / Thüringen when he was returning from Weimar. As I mentioned in another thread, I am still looking for the actual date of his promotion to Generaloberst (backdated to 1 January 1942).
There are times in history when staying neutral means taking sides.

According to Bezborodova it was on 25.12.1947 !!
