Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
I posted that last photo on WAF (I'm Sepp45). It was assumed he wasn't a Knight's Cross holder, just a wartime photo montage with an EKI.

Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
Gentlemen,
This is one heck of a puzzling photo indeed! Why a WWI Iron Cross Second Class converted to a WWII Knight's Cross? This man was a Oberfeldwebel of the German Police.
Sincerely,
Edward L. Hsiao

(RK ceremony 27.07.1944?): Hermann Greiner, ?, Wilhelm Gänsler, ?, ?, Joseph 'Beppo' Schmid (Kommandierender Gen. I. Jagdkorps?) and Heinrich Wittmer (Chef d.Genst./I. Jagdkorps)?

Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
I just can't make out the signature. Can anybody help me with this? Thanks in advance for any help. I know this man was not an RKT - at least when this photo was taken, but I didn't know where else to place him.
Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
Hello
This signature is from Jakob Tiefenthäler.

Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
1. is Josef Rohrbacher; 2 is probably Heinz Scharf.
