Greg: last pic appears to be Mauriz von Wiktorin. Look he has Ritterkreuz but not Wiederholungsspange for EK2 which would just fit for a former Austrian General who had no EK1 1914.

Dieter: Schulenburg would be ruled out because of the ribbon bar. The General in question has three WW1 decorations and two Dienstauszeichnungen, Schulenburg has five on his full medal bar (without Dienstauszeichnungen. And he has PlM!

Dieter:
yes you are right I did not recognize the Johanniter, but the rest (medal bar) makes difference enough.

I don't think the mystery General looks anything like the suggestions so far.

Hello
So is the general in both Greg's photos really v. Wiktorin ? It has sense as he was Befh. im WK.XIII (where Grafenwöhr is). In both photo he wears the Ritterkreuz, so he can' t be v.Tschammer u. Osten. Nobody has v. Tschammer' s photos ? Finally who knows who is the general behind v.Wiktorin (whilst v.Wiktorin is shaking hands with Mussolini) ?
Thanks, Rossano

Hello,
from which source ? The Feldkdt. v. Minsk had the no. 812 but v.Tschammer is not listed there as Kdt.
Was he maybe Ortskdt. (or Stadtkdt.) v. Minsk, or what ?

Gentlemen,
So where does this leave us with identifying the General in post #1? Correct me if I'm wrong, but the mystery General bears no resemblance whatsoever to any of those suggested!
Regards,
Max.
