What rank is he?

Clara, you post some GREAT photos! Wow!

First man I can't identify yet.

RKT in photo grouping is the eventual SS-Oberfuhrer Otto Baum (I can provide bio details if you need them). In 3rd photo of group he is with Theodor Eicke; in 4th photo he stands at far left with Josef Kiermaier (Himmler's Begleiter) and Himmler. Some of these same photos appear in Mark C. Yerger's biography of Baum in "Waffen-SS Commanders, Vol. I".

Final picture- indeed RAD, and probably identifiable- has Goldenes Parteiabzeichen- but I can't say at this point.

I'm not certain, but the first one (photo3.jpg) appears to be Jürgen Freiherr von Maercken zu Geerath.

Can I suggest Martin Eisenbeck for the RAD officer. Picture of him with bio in Die RK des Kriegsverdienstkreuzes by Klaus patzwall

I think Phil is correct. The photo in Patzwall's book was taken at the opposite angle but the resemblance is strong. Man in final photo is probably RAD-Obergeneralarbeitsfuhrer Martin Eisenbeck.

If you're interested Clara, v.Maercken zu Geerath was Chef 1./PzRgt. 36/14 PzDiv. when he received the RK on 17 September 1941.
