Who can help to complete the bio of this Oberst and, maybe , provide a picture of him ?
http://www.das-ritterkreuz.de/index_sea ... word=Dorow
What I have so far is that he came from Infanterie-Regiment 8 ( Frankfurt/Oder ) of the Reichswehr .
Later he was Lehrer at the Kriegsschule in Wiener Neustadt and got his RK as Kdr. of IR 154 .
Who can help to fill the gaps ??

Hi J-H,
he won award with Inf.Rgt. 514 (294. Inf.Div.) 03.04.1942;
in the Biblio series he is said to have been Kdr. of Inf.Rgt. 515 (62. Inf.Div.); mistake !!

Good point, Alex.
Biblio made a valiant mistake!! Here you see Rudolf Friedrich on the extreme left, Kdr. of 62. ID, which must have prompted Biblio to make that error. On the extreme right must be Obst Johannes Block, brand new Kdr. of 294. ID, Gabcke having just been killed. You can just make out the two pips on the shoulder board in the original pic. 62. ID and 294. ID fought side by side under XVII. AK.

Cheers
Freiherr

Hi Freiherr,
you and I are on the same wavelength today, nice spot on Friedrich. What that means is the officer wrapping the KC arouns Dorow is the Ia of the 62. ID, the later GM Karl Klotz,which I can confirm.
Thanks mate
Harmel :D :D
