Thanks for the suggestion. He's too tall and the wrong rank to be Warlimont. I wonder if he's Schmundt's adjutant?
Max.

Max,

Adjutant HPA (Heeres-Personalamt) was Oberstleutnant Rudolf Weiß (* 1910, + 1958),
under Schmundt and Burgdorf.
A pic would be of evidence.

I don´t have a picture of Rudolf Weiß, but the man you are trying to indentify bears a resemblance to an officer of the Army´s High Command Operational Department (Operationsabteilung des OKH) in Mauerwald/East Prussia.
A picture of an officers group from the Operational Department appears in the book "Wilczy Szaniec" by Jerzy Szynkowski on page 171. In the picture, General Heusinger is in the first row, second from the left. The officer Max is looking for could be the fourth from the left in the second row. The book doesn´t give the source of the picture, but I suppose it´s a well known photograph and has been published in several other books.
Unfortunately, I don´t have a scanner, but maybe one of our members from Poland or Germany has a copy of the book "Wilczy Szaniec"/"Wolfsschanze" and could scan the picture in order to compare it with the one posted above?

This is the picture I had been thinking of. Second row, third from left: Could this be the same man?

Thanks to Harmel on a completely unrelated matter, he showed me that the man with Heusinger was Obst Heinz Brandt, later GenMj and died from 20.7.44 bomb plot. Can't tell whether same man as the one walking with Schmudt

Cheers
Freiherr
