Guys,
I hope you are enjoying this Sunday as much as I am. Keep on posting pictures!
Here is my last contribution:
1.-Top picture: We have Gen.d.Art. Hans BEHLENDORFF (left) with another general that is being erroneously identified as SCHROTH. Who is this second general?
2.-Middle picture; We have Gen.Lt. BADINSKI with another general. Who is it?
3.-Bottom picture:I have been after this one for ages. Here we have RITTER von LEEB, von BRIESEN and a third general in the middle that looks very familiar to me, but I have not been able to identify so far. Who is it?

Three more.
1.-JAENECKE group. Here we have JAENECKE in France attending a party probably in honor of the elder general in the middle. The colonel on the left sounds familiar to me: Copuld he be Julius CORETTI? Who is the old general?
2.-General reviewing troops in Neumarkt, Pfalz.
3.-No idea who this one might be.

Hello, guys!

Great brainstorm weekend! :)

Esteban,

I think I've seen your general (Behlendorff pic) in other photos and I recognized him as Walter Schroth without all of his weight. But now with a more detailed view I think I was wrong. In photos that I seen, he confer with Hermann - Friedrich Joppien (JG 51) and Friedrich Hossbach (IR 82). I have two versions who this may be. First it's GL Adolf Lechner Arko 122 which was attached to XII A.K. and second it's rarest shot of GL Kurt Kalmukoff, but this is just a weak guess based on the presence of Friedrich Hossbach because I never seen quality photo of this general. I'll post this set in the evening.

Best wishes

Hi Miocid,

The bottom of the three pics you have just posted as the super rotund Walter Eckstein. He loved to wear his Saxe Weimar Herzog Wilhelm Kreuz. Now you can throw away the oil painting from Biblio.

Cheers

Sorry, Ruslan. Not following what you said. I was also fooled by the caption on the back as well and filed it under Behlendorff and Schroth. Are you saying it could be Lechner or Kalmukoff instead?

Hi, boys.

I think Ruslan made reference (Behlendorff pic) to Adolf Lechner... I am of the same opinion. Congratulations!

Good job on Eckstein, Elwyn! :)

And last, the third next to Leeb and Briesen is very similar to Fritz Hildemann.

Cheers.

Elwyn,

I suppose yes, it's maybe one of this generals. Of course if I was not mistaken when I said that this is same general on my series and on Esteban's picture. Here it is. What do you think? He reminds me Ludwig Wolff after he was wounded.

Best wishes

Oh I now remember these pics.... there were hundreds of negatives and these are the only interesting ones. I put them aside somewhere but now I can't find them as I am knee deep with Kaiserlich GenLt under "G" 8O 8O

I think the evidence tilts towards Kalmukoff, even though all we have is a crappy WW1 pic. First I can scrape together these two Lechner. Left is my guess as it comes from some Rick White AOK 2 Art album. Right is captioned.

Evidently 31 ID was the correct bet --- Joppien's JG 51 flew out of Bobruisk and Orscha, HrGr Mitte. Lechner was Arko beim GrenzTr Saarpfalz so with XII Korps before Barbarossa but moved on to Hr Gr Nord with XXIII Korps upon invasion.

No clue what Keiner was wearing underneath his EKI. I have never really seen any pic of him with his breast pocket. With his walking stick, it might be a distorted wound badge in gold?

Cheers

With Badinski could be a Doctor general ... I recall what was cropped off as saying Feldlazarett.

Hello, Esteban!

Unknown1031. ebay - It's GL Heinrich Kirchheim

Unknown 864. ebay - This general very similar with GM Werner von Eichstedt. My other version was GL Hans de Salengre - Drabbe, but he has a wider face than our KC holder.
