Hi,

This general has already been identified as Paul VÖLCKERS.

Are there any objections?

Cheers.

HI,
I also agree with you. It does not look like Paul VÖLCKERS.
But I do not know who it is.

Hi,
Happy weekend!
Who are the 3 generals in Russia in 1942?
Note: General Staff meeting in the forest near Piatnizkoje.
I would say 2 is a General der… and 3 is a Generaloberst on the pic.
The source is on the pic.

These two generals were captured in the Kurland pocket. I´m 99% convinced that the one on the left is Gen.Lt. Gotthard FISCHER ; but my doubts are with the one on the right. I´m inclined that he is Gen.Maj. Bruno SCHATZ; but he might well be Gen.Maj. Harald SCHULTZ. Could anybody help me?

Lieber miocid,

it's Schatz for sure! I want to add his pic of "Sammlung Krug" (sorry, only a poor paper copy, but clear enough for comparison).

Miocid,

I would say that the man on the left is Generalleutnant Hermann FISCHER, commander of the Rear Army Area of the 16th Army.

Well done on Schatz, Dieter!

Cheers.

#5320 was XXXXIV Korps at the beginning of Barbarossa Kmdr Fritz Koch in the middle. I would put the pic to before 13.10.41when Koch won RK. On the left was Siegmund FrHr v Schleinitz 9 ID and on the right was Max Pfeffer 297 ID.

Likewise, the single colour pic of a general was Pfeffer.

Cheers

Not Walter Reinhardt, I am afraid. He was a compact shrimp of a man.
