Manstein and Choltitz

#1

Post by Momchil Milanov » 03 Sep 2004, 21:29

Do you have a photo showing Erich von Manstein and Oberst von Choltitz? It was made in the late summer of 1942 and was taken near Sevastopol.

Best regards,

Momchil

Hello Oberstab
Thanks for the Robert Gast photo.
Information about Herbert Behm is available into Biblio Verlag's book covering RKT from the Flak. Do you know this publisher ?
Here is info about him :
BEHM HERBERT
DoB : 09/05/1918
Last rank : OBERLEUTNANT
Last unit : I/FLAK ABT. 33 (mot.)
EK1 : 10/05/1943
DKiG : 01/01/1945 as Oblt. 4/FLAK RGT. 33 (mot.) (regarding this date, I would need to check if it's the real one or the date of publication within the LVBl)
RK : 01/04/1945 (on) as Oblt. 4/FLAK RGT. 33 (mot.)

I didn't notice that he was not listed in WPF !! Maybe I made a mistake in my database. I need to re-read my edition this evening !!!
Best regards
Denis

Denis

I understand that Kurt Unruhe is the right hand side RKT in this photo, which I downloaded from the internet some time ago.

Denis,
indeed I was searching in the Fellgiebel-book and couldn' t find him.

Yes I know the Biblio-publisher (I' m working with Andreas Schulz for Biblio) and I also possess the volume "Die Ritterkreuzträger der Deutschen Wehrmacht", Teil V: Die Flugabwehrtruppen, Bd. 1: A - K

neither in " Die Träger des DKiG, KM,LW,WSS, Band 2 by Horst Scheibert Ed. Podzun-Pallas-Verlag

Hello JPK and Oberstab :
@ Oberstab : I know that and this was a little French humor
@ Oberstab and JPK : I have looked in my WPF copy and it doesn't appear. I have made a mistake in my database that I have fixed. Behm is not an official RKT and doesn't belong to the 1759 LW RKT list. In my dagtabse, all "unofficial" RKT are clearly identified but this one has been forgotten.

BTW, Oberstab, can you tell me where the Gast picture come from ? Is it displayed in a book ?

For all members, I know these RKT are not the easiest to find but if you have the slightiest element, don't be shy !!

Thank you
Denis

Denis. the picture comes also from Biblio-Verlag:
"Die Ritterkreuzträger der Deutschen Wehrmacht 1939 - 1945, Teil II. Fallschirmjäger" bei Franz Thomas and Günter Wegmann. Osnabrück 1986.

Also when this book has gaps on information (some holders of the awards are missing) it is a good source
