Anybody have info on an officer named Drück ?

Promoted Oberst - 01.09.1943 (12)
Promoted Gen.Maj. - 20.04.1945

He is not listed in the Dermot Bradley series - Die Generale des Heeres.

Walter Drück recieved the DKiG on 11.12.1941 while being a Major in command of Geb.Pi.Btl. 82.

A Leutnant der Reserve Walter Drück was commisioned with a Patent of 9.11.17 into the 4. (Württ.) Kompanie of the Prussian Eisenbahn-Bataillon Nr. 4. He was awarded a Württemberg Golden Military Merit Medal serving in the Württ. 3. Pionier-Kompanie Nr. 13 gazetted on 11 October 1918.

He is shown in October 1937 as an Hauptmann with Patent of 1.6.34 (43) in Gebirgspionierbataillon Nr. 54 and became commander of Gebirgspionierbataillon Nr. 82 on 10 November 1938.

What I posted is from his HPA record. There is no notation to that regard. There are no entries after March 1944, actually.

† 16.10.1970 in Gerstetten bei Heidenheim an der Brenz (Verkehrsunfall)

His wife died a few days later, on 25.10.1970, in Heidenheim an der Brenz (the couple's entry in Genealogisches Handbuch des Adels has no place of death, indicating that maybe they were together when the accident happened).

In the abovementioned entry, the only wartime information from 1945 is: "abkommandiert nach Mittenwald".
