Unknown generals: Generalmajore ?

#1

Post by HFK » 29 May 2010, 00:52

Hello,
has anyone any information on any of these 7 Generalmajor's. I found this in another forum, and have no info at all on any of these 7 names, nor can I find them listed in any reference work. Any information would be appreciated by me:
1- Wilhelm Klein
2- Konrad Philipp
3- Achim Reymann
4- Rudolf Schulz
5- Ludwig Schwarzmüller
6- Herbert Stephan
7- Reinhard Ulrich.

Thank you in advance,
Harry

Hello Dieter, Thank you for the suggestion, but if they were listed anywhere, I would have them in my database. I did find 3 of the names in the Luftwaffe, not Heer, with the names misspelled. I need to do more searching for the other 4, they are not listed anywhere. Thanks again, Harry

Generalmajor Achim Reymann
* 16.12.1886 Neiße/Oberschlesien
† 03.02.1945 Brieg (Schlesien) (gefallen?)

22.06.1906 Leutnant (Y2y)
08.11.1916 Oberleutnant
30.01.1920 Hauptman (mit Patent v. 18.12.1915)
00.00.19__ (Char.?) Major
01.05.1935 Oberstleutnant (E)
01.09.1940 Oberst
00.00.194_ Generalmajor

Source (includes a bio concerning his early years, along with a photo): http://www.tsingtau.info/index.html?namen/r.htm

Interestingly, Reinhard Montag's Lexikon der deutschen Generale refers to him (incorrectly) as Adrian Reymann.

Hi,

Here is my little contribution that I was able to scrape together from various sources...not much I'm afraid.

It appears that only one out of the seven obtained the rank of Generalmajor.

As for Ulrich, I found a Stephan Ullrich of the Luftwaffe who was promoted to Oberst on March 1, 1944.

@ Aisin: I do not know whether Reymann received a nachträglich promotion to Generalmajor, although an officer who was killed in yet another pointless battle in 1945 would certainly earn the respect of the NS–regime.

Also:
Oberst Konrad Philipp
* 29.04.1888 in Brünn (Mähren)
† 09.12.1961 in Kufstein

But, like the others, I cannot find even a notion for a Generalmajor promotion.

Konrad Philipp was earmarked as Generalmajor mit RDA vom 01.07.1942 (17) in the 1942 DAL, but later crossed out (with the handwritten annotation "fällt aus").
