As part of the celebrations of our 10 year anniversary we will open the For Sale section for all members without any cost until the end of the year! The section can now be used for free for any members who want to sell WW1, Inter-War or WW2 related items such as books or militaria.
We hope the members will appreciate this chance to sell items for free within the community.

This offer is open for all active members but not for companies that want to promote their business, they can use Google Adsense to advertise here.

Hi Marcus et al

Congratulations to TRHF/AHF on your 10th Anniversary. :D

As the first Forum I ever joined, I have many fond memories of the growing pains, type-written clashes, information sharing, fine and not so fine membership, and truly international flair that your fine forum has wrought.

Although my tastes have changed, I do pop in now and again to read some of the continually excellent posts that are here.

My best to you all.

regards
A :D

A slightly belated but heartfelt thank you to Markus and the staff for this invaluable resource. There is none better on the Web. Cheers and best wishes to all participants around the world....this is a truly international community. From an 'old campaigner' who was once stationed in Bad Aibling,Oberbayern. =coldwarspook=

A bit late but congratulations on your 10th anniversary and thanks to everyone for their contributions. I've learned so much here and found AHF to be one of the most friendly forums on the web. It's well-run, everyone is keen to help and there are few arguments or trolling.

Ah geez- I'm a bit late but just noticed the post. I've been here since 2003 and there isn't a better World War II site in existence for my money. I've been helped by some of the most knowlegeable people in the military history field, both professional and amateur, and enjoyed my association with you all. Members in Italy, England, Japan, Turkey and the US have helped with my compilation of the Field Marshals, Fleet Admirals and 5-star US officers lists for both wars which I finally posted and sent to NARA and the IWM when I finally thought I had all the principals and correct dates of promotion. I've also been helped with O/B and commander data for my manuscript being published as well as a second one in the works. And I've been able to give back a little when i could. That's what makes this Forum great- people sharing information. free to all, across the oceans and across continents. I'm just glad to be here with you all.

Best regards,
Bill in Cleveland (the big one)

AHF has been invaluable to me in my research. As I look back over my old posts and the responses I feel great appreciation for all the help and courtesy. This forum is a paradigm. Thank you and CONGRATULATIONS!!
