can anyone tell me about general paulus's romanian wife? when did she die? i read that after paulus was captured at stalingrad, he never saw his wife again. where did his wife live out the rest of her life? i know he had2 sons, one was killed, and i read that one son(ernst) committed suicide. did the sons have any children left behind?

What liitle I know: her name was Elena Constance Rosetti-Solescu, according to some sources she was from the Romanian aristocracy. I don't have any date for her death, but it is true that she never saw her husband again following his capture. She remained in West Germany, while her husband was in the DDR.

Just a quick follow-up: I have found out that GFM Paulus' wife died in West Germany in 1949, while Paulus himself was still in Russian captivity.
