Hi!
I just wondered how tall Sepp Dietrich was as it is said that he only accepted men who where very tall and had an eye on other "racial criteria" of candidates for his Leibstandarte - especially for the first company.

Can anyone help me?

Hi,

height specifications were for "asphalt soldiers" of the LAH who in 30's made the "marketing" of the SS in parads of the party.
Sepp DIETRICH was the historical leader of the LAH. He was popular in Germany and appear frequently in magazines. He had not need to follow the rules because he was at the beginning of the unit.

In Charles Messenger's book "Hitler's Gladiator", Sepp Dietrich's height is given as five feet six inches (= ca. 168 cm)
