Hitler's Friends in his early life

Post by ChristopherPerrien » 22 Apr 2003, 08:27

Does any one hear know of any writings that were done by any of his fellow soldiers from WWI? Or perhaps people who knew him his years as a student ?

I would like 1st person "candid" stuff, not stuff written purposely to make him look either good or bad. And not third person accounts either I already have seen 100's of them.

For the sake of asking are there early (WWI or earlier) writings/diaries/letters/etc., that he himself may have done, that are still in existence?

There is a large format sketch book with works dated from, IIRC, 1903 to the early twenties, but that's not quite what you are after. It was collected along with a lot of other personal items by the Russians and is still held in the archives along with the infamous skull fragments.

There are some first hand accounts, but I'll have to get back to work before I can get hold of those.

Cheers,

K.
