Gen. Püchler, Carl or Karl ?

In this Forum Gen. Püchler´s first name is mostly Carl (so also in a few more sources), but in all other sources (in Blattspangen, Deutsches Kreuz in Gold, in Ritterkreuz (so also in Keilig and in Wegmann, and other sources) ábsolutely as Karl. So, is Karl correct ? Has anybody his Personalakte ?

I have not replied because the sources I have use both Karl and Carl!

The "Generalskartei" contains two sets of cards. One has his name as Karl Hugo Johannes Püchler. The other has Carl Püchler.

He wrote two FMS studies. In one his name is given as Karl and in the other it is given as Carl.

I can not think of any other primary sources that I have that might help.
