Oberst Edmund Stoppel and Oberst Dr. Theodor Priepke
Hello
I need help. Who has their Dienstlaufbahnen (or any assignments) from 09.39 to 04.44 only ?
P.S.: Wegmann+Zweng report Ob. Stoppel to be 04.1941 Kdr. Schütz.Ers.Btl. 1, true or wrong ? An Oberst commanding a Btl. ?
Thanks, Rossano

After an unsuccessful attempt to reach Toulouse with a motley force of around 300 men, Priepke surrendered to FFI forces. I was not able to ascertain the circumstances of his later death. He may have died of wounds, or he may have been executed by the Maquis. I'm not even sure this happened in Auch. After his disappearance, his last known post may have been listed as place of death.

Re: Oberst Edmund Stoppel and Oberst Dr. Theodor Priepke
Stoppel was former ÖBH officer. His RDA as Major was 01.03.1936 with Stab II./SchtzRgt. 1 [Das Deutsche Heer 1939].
I just can add his promotion to Oberst with RDA 01.02.1941.
But I would interested too in his assignments between 1939 and 1945. And the date of his promotion to Oberstleutnant.
Regards
Christian

Cause of death is given as "infolge Verwundung gestorben".askropp wrote: ↑15 Sep 2020, 20:01After an unsuccessful attempt to reach Toulouse with a motley force of around 300 men, Priepke surrendered to FFI forces.
