Otto Carius passed away

Hello,

Today Otto Carius passed away after short illness. I think he deserves to be mentioned in our section and I wish him a peacefull rest.

Quite a long and interesting life he had. Alot of tankers learned a few things from him, both his comrades and readers of his book, years after WWII. :milsmile:

RIP Herr Carius. I was one of those folks that read his book and I think very highly of it.

I hope, I am on the correct site with this information:
Yesterday 24th Januaray German tank-commander Otto Carius died near his home-town Zweibrücken-Pfalz. Carius was highly decorated during the war and after the war he became a pharmacist with his own business near Zweibrücken, which he run until recently.
Otto Carius wrote a bestseller book "Tiger im Schlamm"
