I am afraid I am unable to confirm his later promotion dates but here are the details of his Austro-Hungarian service:

Born on the 31st of December 1894 at Szölös in the Preßburg (Bratislava) district. After attending the Ludovika Military Academy in Budapest he was commissioned as a Leutnant (Hadnagy) in the k.u. Landwehr (Honvéd) Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 20 in Nagykanisza on the 1st of August 1914. He was wounded on the 28th of August 1914 and returned to the front on the 27th of March 1916. He was again wounded on the 16th of June 1916, returning to duty on the 3rd of Nvember 1916. Promoted to Oberleutnant (Fohadnagy) on the 1st of May 1915 he commanded the 1st, 2nd and 1st Machine Gun Companies respectively. His wartime decorations:

Silver Military Merit Medal (Signum Laudis0
Bronze Military Merit Medal (Signum Laudis)
Karl Troop Cross

Hauptmann (Százados): 1st March 1922
