Based on the 1941 DAL and its handwritten additions, I would say these are Rommels promotions:

01.08.1939 Generalmajor mit RDA vom 01.06.1939 (16)
01.01.1941 Generalleutnant (ohne RDA)
14.06.1941 Generalleutnant mit RDA vom 01.07.1941 (6)
24.06.1941 General der Panzertruppe mit RDA vom 01.07.1941 (5)
24.01.1942 Generaloberst mit RDA vom 01.02.1942 (1)
22.06.1942 Generalfeldmarschall

Rommel was promoted Generalmajor mit Wirkung vom 01.08.1939 and RDA of 01.08.1939 (7) in the Personalveränderungen dated 31.07.1939
His RDA was changed to 01.06.1939 (16) in the Personalveränderungen dated 27.08.1939 (The Tannenberg List)

He was promoted Generaloberst mit Wirkung vom 01.02.1942 (with no mumber) in the Personalveränderungen dated 24.01.1942

Thank you! I overlooked the RDA change as GM. As Generaloberst, Rommel got the (1) when Model became Generaloberst with the same RDA (2) a month later.

I just noticed that "Die Generale des Heeres" says Herbert von Böckmann (promoted GM ohne RDA on 18.01.1939) held the 01.08.1939 (7) before Rommel, but was upgraded to 01.08.1938 (5a) at some point. Do you have any info on that?

von Böckmann was promoted GM mit Wirkung vom 01.01.1939 in the Personalveränderungen dated 31.12.1938 with an RDA of 01.01.1939 (7). This was changed mit Wirkung vom 01.05.1939 to an RDA of 01.08.1938 (5a) in the Personalveränderungen dated 20.04.1939

Thank you! So it was just another typo. It would have been strange if two officers held the same RDA at different times.

On Nehring, judging from the handwritten annotations in the 1942 DAL in NARA T-78, it looks as if he was promoted directly to General without getting a RDA as GL.

Schörner's RDA as GM was 01.10.1941 (31).

All other officers promoted to GL mit RDA vom 01.03.1943 were placed in order of their seniority as GM. This strongly suggests that Wuthmann had a RDA of 01.03.1943 (5b). He may have been promoted on 15.05.1943 along with Hoßbach who got the (5a).

Wuthman was GL RDA 01.03.1943 (5b) as you suggested (source his "Generalskartei")

Nehring was promoted to Generalleutnant mit Wirkung vom 01.02.1942 in Personalveränderungen Nr.860/42 PA/Ag P1/1.Abt.(c) dated 09.02.1942 and annotated "unter Vorbeh.d. späteren Festsetzung des Rangdienstalters" - RDA to be given later.

I can find no evidence, yet, that an RDA was issued.

A question on Schörner's promotion to Generaloberst: His RDA was 01.08.1943, but when was the actual promotion? Some sources say 20.05.1944, but he is already in DAL 1944. The date of 01.03.1944 is also mentioned. This looks possible, especially as his RDA was definitely chosen with his appointment to OB HGr Südukraine to make him senior to Hollidt.
