Can anyone identify this Officer?

Can anyone identify this Officer?

I was looking in my archives and I found that this two officers is probably the same. I came to this conclusion by comparing the similarities of the two. In the first photo he is in the third battle of Kharkov holding the book and in the second he is holding the map with Rommel in Tunisia in april, 1941. So, I think that is the same person, what do you guys think? Can anyone discover his name?
