Knight's Cross Award Ceremony
Re: Knight's Cross Award Ceremony
uUnknow 2 from 1.ID I'd say are Stabsgefreiter Albert Müller and Oberst Karl Trautmann, who was awarded KC later on 17.03.1945.

Re: Knight's Cross Award Ceremony
Well here is what I can tell you:
There are fotos from this event in the book "Ritterkreuzträger im Mannschaftsstand 1941-1945" by Huss and Sondermann.
Müller and Schaarschuh were awarded KC on the same day and Oberst Trautmann was helped by Hauptmann Singer.
I belive he is later DKg and "KC" holder Herbert Singer who was commander of II./Füsilier-Regiment 22/1.ID from 44' to the end of war.
By his testimony only, he recived KC in the beginning of May 1945 - see link (http://en.ww2awards.com/person/18753).
Hope this helps.

Re: Knight's Cross Award Ceremony
Hi Gents,
I am new here and glad to find some nice infos about RK Träger. In particular Karl Eberhard Rinke, I have been searching a picture of this Officer for more than a year since I acquired his combat uniform... I think that the picture pubished here shows the combat tunic I own...Thank you Fakatona for your input regarding this man, do you have other pictures of K.E. Rinke?
By the way, I own in my collection a series of unpublished pictures of the Leutnant der Reserve Kollmann (Pz.Gren.Rgt. 59) award ceremony out of a private photo album belonging to one of his Regiment's friends, and a couple of pics of the Obergefreiter Johann Rieger (same unit) ... Would be glad to share with you if I can find how to post pictures here...
May be a helping hand could relay the pictures...
Cheers.
Eric
