Generalmajor Alexander Zapfel [correct: Zäpffel]

Hi

Would anyone have a bio of this general? The 'German Order of Battle 1944' lists Alexander Zapfel as a Generalmajor in the artillery, aged 62. I've not been able to find any more information on him anywhere!

Hello Hugh,

That's probably because the name is misspelled: your person is the later Generalleutnant Alexander Zäpffel, indeed an artillery officer.
