Gen.Maj. Koßmala´s death date

Hello,
many sources report him as KIA in march 45, but they all differ with the dates, for ex.
Fellgiebel´s RKT on 5th, Gräbersuche on 1st, Internet on 18th, etc. etc., but all seem to be wrong because
his Karteikarte reads „16th vermisst“. Also, to possibly confirm the latter there is the fact that his successor (Jollasse) became acting cdr. as from 15th (a doc. even reads from about 13th). So, could his death date be around 13-15 or maybe really 16-18 ?
Has somebody his death doc. or other official doc. proving that ?

Scherzer wrote 18th of March, but if the "Karteikarte" told already 16th, this can´t be correct.
n my experience I saw many of such cases with 1 - 2 weeks between the real missing date and the missing message.

Scherzer probably got his information from his "Generalskartei" which shows him missing 18.03.1945 (not 16) with a reference number to a HPA document from which the information was taken. Other HPA documents dated 14.03.1945 show him transferred to the FR on 15.03.1945 because he was ill with pleurisy.

So John, is it correct him FR. 15.03. (and so OK Jollasse from 15.03. as well), and missing (died) 18.03. ?

These are the official (mit Wirkung vom) dates for him and Jollasse. They may not be the actual date that Jollasse took over or when he died.
