Many thanks, Jake. There are still numerous dates missing especially for Sanitätsoffiziere, Veterinäre, Richter and Intendanten. Does someone happen to have date and place of death for Generalarzt Walter Penner (*20.09.1891 in Berlin)?

Unfortunately, nothing on Penner, apart from the fact that after the war he lived in Weingarten (Württemberg).

I think it would be wise to post here lists of names you are searching, so anyone interested (inluding, of course, myself) could look them up. Also, I have found some information concerning Sanitätsoffiziere, so a list might show me wheter some of them interest you.

Günther Aßmann † 14.01.1987 in Potsdam

Bernhardt-Georg Hermann von Watzdorf † 02.03.1986 in Potsdam

For the others, I can't find anything at the time, but I a date and a place of birth could help me narrow down my search :)

Jake thanks. I got a parallel response giving for Aßmann: 17.01.1987. Are you positive with 14.01.?

Hello, Herr Stiller,

The date 05.09.1977 comes from

Günter Wegner: Stellenbesetzung des deutschen Heeres 1815–1939. Band 3: Die Stellenbesetzung der aktiven Regimenter, Bataillone und Abteilungen von der Stiftung bzw. Aufstellung bis zum 26. August 1939. (= Formationsgeschichte und Stellenbesetzung der deutschen Streitkräfte 1815–1990. Teil 1, Band 3). Biblio-Verlag, Osnabrück 1993, S. 523.

as Your father is listed as commander of the Pionier-Lehr-Bataillon in Roßlau, a unit described in this book. Is this information mistaken?

Jake
