In Jost Schneider's "Verleihung Genehmigt! / Their Honor was Loyalty!" (R.J. Bender Publishing), which details Waffen-SS and Polizei holders of the Ritterkreuz (EK and KVK), there is a photo of SS-Gruf.u.Gen.Lt.d.W-SS Prof. Dr. med. Karl-Franz Gebhardt on Page 487. In the photo he wears an unusual award below and to the right of his 1914 EK I. Does anyone know what this cross is? I presume some sort of Red Cross award from a foreign country- Spain? Finland? Romania?
Any assistance greatly appreciated, as always.
Best wishes,

Bonjour,
I suppose that it is about this decoration (see photo Gebhardt)???
After some research, it seems to me that that could be it :
- Spanischen Ordens von Joch u. dem Pfeilen (Yoke et Arrows)
