First awarded DKiG
Hi gentlemen!
Do you know the persons, who where awarded the German Cross in Gold on the very first day (18.10.1941).
I know the following persons. Are there any further persons?
Becker Karl (18.10.1941)
Gareis Martin (18.10.1941)
Källner Hans (18.10.1941)
Thanks & Regards,
Stauffenberg II

Here’s the Army DKiG “first day issue” recipients, names A-L. Hopefully, I didn't miss any...the tiny print in Horst Scheibert's book makes your head swim! I'll review names M-Z and the Kriegsmarine, Luftwaffe and W-SS lists soon!

Wow Shawn, thank you.
You had to look up the whole book? Thank you for your kind help.
Just one follow up: I think you mean Obst. Erich Baessler (IR 399) and not Gen. Maj. Hans Baessler.
Thanks, much appreciated.
Böhm Hermann (20.11.1941)
Ciliax Otto (20.11.1941)

Re: First awarded DKiG
Is there any record about the first recipients from the Luftwaffe or Waffen-SS?

Re: First awarded DKiG
My old friend Heinz Altendorf was one of the first Luftwaffe holders.
