UNIDENTIFIED VICTIM

The events of July 20th, 1944, that took place in East Prussia, have not only left an intriguing story, but one that has yet to be told in its entirety. The events also gave cause for Hitler to have a special wound badge to honor those members of his General Staff that were killed or wounded. A very select number received this badge produced under Hitler’s personal design. The exact number of recipients has never been identified. Only 23 recipients are positively identified and recorded. However, a major clue to another recipient has been uncovered. His name is ‘BINNER”. At this time his last name is all I have to go on, but photographic evidence exists to prove that such a victim of the bomb plot was wounded. Here is a picture of the man in his hospital bed with his name identification posted above his head. All that needs to be done is find the personal history of “Binner”. Therefore, I seek assistance in this identification process and together we can add more information to the interesting and intriguing events of July 20th, 1944.
