One Possible Holder

Postby Edward L. Hsiao on 25 Oct 2005 06:58

Gentlemen,

Luftwaffe Generalmajor Walter Gnamm who served with the staff of Luftwaffe Command of South-East from June 25,1943 to March 7,1944 was a possible holder of the Croatian Order of the King Zwonimir 1st Class. By the way who was the head of the Luftwaffe Command of South-East?

Sincerely,

Edward

Thought I'd share the photo. This one is mine. It was auctioned off as part of German General Paul Bader's estate. It was found in one of his trunks.

Would he be wearing a civilian decoration though? The set that I have is without swords or oak wreath.
It's hard to tell from the photo. Is he the fifth officer from the left?

I am no expert in this matter! Yes, the man with the big star in his breast pocket.

Bader was the senior commander in Serbia... so would that make it military?

This was Kampfschule Nisch in Bulgaria. Naval officer was Bulgarian. Adm Ivanoff

Cheers

He must be wearing another decoration. The award I have from his estate is a civil decoration.
