Anyone know where and when this photo of Rommel with British officers and men was taken? What are the circumstances under which it was taken?

Hello!

The foto is taken on 12.June 1940 in the harbor of Saint-Valéry where the british 51.Div. surrendered to Rommels 7.Pz.Div.
The man to the right of Rommel is Maj.Gen. Victor Fortune.

Thanks, Christoph. :)

I thought it was an unusual photo. It is not every day you see such high ranking opponents standing side by side looking so calm.

Surely a interesting and nice Foto but very well known and photographed by several PK men. As you might think such a success was in all newspapers and propaganda publications.
