Not Blomberg
I am afraid it cannot possibly be von Blomberg. This is a wartime photo as shown by the WW2 clasp to the WW1 Iron Cross 1st Class. Blomberg was retired in 1938 as a Generalfeldmarschall and was additionally an holder of the Prussian Order Pour le Mérite. This officer has the two rank stars of a General der...

No positive identification so far. Certainly not Von Blomberg & Hoth as suggested. The setting seems me to be a (staff) course of some kind. On a "Divisionsführerlehrgang" you might expect some more Knight's Cross winners present.
The general on the left looks a bit like Gen.Maj. Hellmut Hiepe, though my photograph shows him with darker hair. Couldn't find any positive matches with "my" generals so far. Sorry.
Cheers,
Hans

The guy on the left also looks like Hellmut Hiepe to me.
I was thinking, the photo on http://home.wxs.nl/~j.n.houterman/bio/g ... rH2.htm#Hi
might be Reichswehr era, so he might have aged a bit.

Regarding Hiepe: was promoted tot Gen.Maj. in Febr 1942, and the pic shows him as general, so not much time for aging.
A second contestant for the general on the left: Hans Gollnick. The pic should have been taken then between June 1941 and Nov 1942.
The general on the right cannot be Eberhard Kinzel. As we can see it's a full general and that rank was reached by Kinzel only at the very end of the war, when he already had the Knight's Cross.
We're looking for:
- a General (der Infanterie, der Artillerie etc.)
- only visible awards are Iron Cross & Bar and some kind of Spange (sorry, but I'm no expert...)
Just came across a picture of Gen.d.Inf. Kurt Brennecke. Has its resemblances, or what? [Don't mind the German Cross he's wearing; that's a whole other story...]
Cheers,
Hans
